Erskine Stewart's Melville Schools operate a unique diamond structure. The diamond model combines the academic benefits of single-sex education with the social advantages of co-educational, giving children the best of both worlds. ESMS children are taught together at the Junior School and as they approach their teenage years, they are then separated to allow us to tailor our teaching to suit the different learning styles of girls and boys at The Mary Erskine School for girls, and Stewart's Melville College for boys. Pupils are then brought back together again for their final year in our Sixth Form to prepare for life after school.
