CIEMEN is an international organisation based in Barcelona, Catalonia, which has been campaigning for collective rights of peoples and minorities since 1974. Its main fields of action include the promotion of the right to self-determination for indigenous peoples and stateless nations; research on minority or lesser-used languages; studies in nationalism; and the participation in socially-aware platforms and events such as the World Social Forum.
