Limerick Football club, known as the Superblues owing to the traditional colour of their strip, are a Professional Football Club at the very heart of the Mid-West region. Founded in 1937, the club currently competes in the First Division of the Airtricity League of Ireland. The club offices are based in the Kirby O'Sullivan Sports Social and Business Park, at the Old Convent in Bruff. A club with a strong community and youth focus, Limerick FC runs the Reclaim Project, which helps youths with social engagement and to become mentors in their communities. Limerick FC has teams nationally competing at U19 and U17 level, and a team in the FAI Women's National League.
