Through the use of food technology, Growrs provides the infrastructure to empower Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to grow self-sufficient and healthy communities. Our work is divided into three key areas: 1. Technology: Developing “bio-integrated” systems which unite aquaculture, hydroponics with emergent technologies such as blockchain, AI and IIoT symbiotically, we are redesigning how we produce and what we consume. 2. Community: Our aim is to create community-led, sustainable food systems driven by technology & innovation to address the problems of climate change and constricting supply. 3. Sustainability: Our work intends to provide insights into how circularity could be approached to ease the challenges of food security and environmental impact related to traditional farming.
