Dr. Brian Lum is an integrative and functional medicine specialist. He is licensed and board-certified as a Doctor of Chiropractic. Education His post-graduate training includes diagnosis, preventative medicine, and nutritional medicine as part of the Diplomate of the American Board of Chiropractic Internist program (DABCI). He received training in functional medicine through the Institute for Functional Medicine (IFM). Philosophy I believe in the utilization of the latest research, the incorporation of different healing modalities and constant education. Every 'new patient' appointment is an hour long, I want to get to know you and your situation. I don’t give up on my patients. Why I Practice Ever since I can remember, I have wanted to help people heal. My mother had Crohn’s disease, and watching her live with pain on a daily basis was hard for me. She spent a lot of time and money travelling to doctors and they all said the same thing: there is no way to heal on your own and you will always be in pain. I graduated with my doctorate from Cleveland University in Kansas City, Kansas at the age of 23. I now specialize in complex, chronic illness using natural methods.
