APLA is a not-for-profit association founded in 2022 with a mission to have a centralized effort towards defining, promoting and improving the data privacy legal profession in all 54 countries in Africa. We are committed to providing a forum for data privacy legal professionals to share best practices, track trends, advance privacy legal rights, standardize the designations for data privacy legal professionals in Africa and provide education and guidance on opportunities in the field of information privacy.
