NHS Clinical Commissioners (NHSCC)

www.nhscc.org

NHS Clinical Commissioners is the independent membership organisation for clinical commissioners. We provide CCGs with a strong collective voice and represent them in the national debate on the future of healthcare in England. We facilitate shared learning; and deliver networking opportunities for our members so that local clinicians can commission the best possible services for their patients and populations. Our members set our priorities so that we are working effectively to find national solutions to key local issues that matter to them and support CCGs to secure the best possible healthcare and health outcomes for their patients. We meet regularly with NHS England and NHS Improvement, the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, DHSC, CQC, NICE and others to raise the issues that might be holding commissioners back and help to find solutions and shape national policy. We give CCGs a strong, influencing voice from the frontline to the wider NHS, national bodies, government, parliament and the media. We produce publications and briefings, hold workshops, and provide information for CCGs to help to help navigate the complexities of clinical commissioning. We have a number of member networks, including for clinical leaders, lay members, mental health commissioners, nurse leaders and chief finance officers, where CCGs can share knowledge and best practice and learn from each other’s experiences and expertise.
