Alternate Power International Ltd was founded in March, 2009. The current CEO, Stephen Culbert has over 30 years in the solar industry. API was opened to supply the emerging worldwide solar market. API now has operations and locations in Ontario, Canada; Africa and Middle East. Alternate Power International is the distributor of the Innoventum line of elegantly designed solar and wind mounting systems. These systems are made from sustainably forested wood products and are beautiful. It time that renewable energy independence looked pleasing. Over the past 7 years, API has launched 3 successful racking designs into the Solar market. The Sun-Spy™ single axis tracker, the SunnyRack™ Ballasted rooftop system, and the SunnyRack™ Ground Mount systems. API's head office and North American factory is located in Ontario, Canada. API has 18-21 employees between this facility and the installation crews that run out of this facility. There are both aluminum and steel fabrication of racking systems based in this facility.
