Folk Arts Oxford is an Arts Development organisation which aims to promote folk and traditional dance, music and song in the Oxfordshire region. Alongside our own projects and events - the flagship of these being the community festival Folk Weekend: Oxford - FAO works collaboratively with other local organisations, forging links and creating opportunities for folk artists to work in education and community projects, as well as showcase their talent in local events. FAO is particularly interested in inclusivity in the arts, and improving access for those who have faced barriers to participation. In 2016 Folk Weekend will hold it's first 'Special Saturday' - a collection of events especially designed to give people with Special Needs the confidence to attend the event for the first time.
