The Iowa State University Polymer and Food Protection Consortium develops research in cooperation with industry that focuses on the design, safety and function of polymeric materials, the biological safety of food packaging, and the extension of shelf-life and nutritive retention of packaged foods. The Polymer and Food Protection Consortium serves the food and ingredient industry through fundamental and applied research and maintains an active program of knowledge and technology transfer among the academic institution and the partner industries.
