As you might have guessed, McKee is a direct symbol of our family. Courtney and Rhonda, our Co-Founders, wanted to pay tribute to her grandparents (Rhonda’s parents) because without them this would never be possible. A love and passion for sewing and creating colorful designs wouldn’t be a part of their lives. Their family roots lie within Scottish ancestry and McKee, a word similar to the family name Mackie, was chosen because the Scottish meaning of McKee is fire. Courtney and Rhonda felt that the representation of fire was what we embodied as a brand. This quickly created the foundation of the slogan, "Fuel your fire." The logo is from Courtney's grandpa's, farming logo that has been in the family for years. Together the name and the logo, the entire essence of the brand, is surrounded by family.
