We are delighted to introduce you to Royal Oak Community School. Royal Oak Community School is located in the heart of old town Niagara-on-the-Lake. Our school offers an enriching, comprehensive, and challenging program based on the Ontario curriculum, but designed to fit each of our students' needs. We are a community based school that believes in the power of community to enrich students lives and learning. Students regularly engage with their natural environment, community members and participate in field trips in and around our beautiful region. We see our community as an outdoor classroom. Within the walls of our school students learn and collaborate in small group settings. Our teacher ratio will never exceed 15 to 1 as we believe students do their best learning in secure and safe environments with teachers who know and respect the whole child. An inherently important part of our program and a child's development is language learning. From the Early Years Program onwards all children at Royal Oak will receive daily instruction in both English and French literacy. We currently offer Junior Kindergarten through to Grade 4. Although we are only heading into our second year Royal Oak has set strong roots in our small town with the nourishment and support of Niagara-on-the-Lake residents, the chamber of commerce, our town and local businesses.
