The Tennessee Certification Board (TCB) strives to advance the field of prevention as a viable and effective professional discipline to benefit Tennessee communities. Our mission is to establish, promote, certify and maintain professional credentials that uphold the standard of excellence across the fields of behavioral health, mental health, substance abuse, and prevention in the state of Tennessee. Our current Prevention Specialist Certification is based on experience and competencies as set by the International Certification & Reciprocity Consortium (IC&RC). This project is funded by the Tennessee Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services.
