We are a law enforcement agency headed by an elected Sheriff, Paul Penzone. Our organization serves and protects the unincorporated areas of Maricopa County as well as several contract cities. There are approximately 3,400 employees in the Sheriff's Office. We employ a variety of staff including deputies, detention officers, and civilian positions. We are part of the Maricopa County government system.
