HRA is a small charity which utilises its 30 horses to assist in the personal development of young people as they learn to look after and ride the horses whilst also taking on more responsibility in teaching and mentoring the younger children as they progress. Over 330 young people attend each week (for between 3-5 hours at a time). Membership is open to all, irrespective of background or ability. We also run a Riding for the Disabled programme during the term time. All our programmes rely on volunteers for their delivery and we have over 100 volunteers who help on a weekly basis.
