Monmouthshire Housing Association (MHA) was established in 2008 to receive the housing stock of Monmouthshire County Council through a large scale voluntary transfer. MHA's main purpose is to develop and manage affordable homes (mixed tenure) as well as providing a range of support services throughout Monmouthshire for people who need them. We also ensure all those homes are improved to meet the Welsh Housing Quality Standard by 2012 and then maintained at that standard. We manage and maintain around 3,900 homes and 290 leasehold properties, as well as large numbers of garages and other land around and within our estates. We have ambitions to develop 100 new homes each year, targeting a total of 5,000 new homes within 10 years. MHA also have our own trading subsidiary Capsel Ltd. Capsel provide a range of property related services including an Estate Agency, property maintenance services, as well as developing new homes for outright sale. MHA were proud to recently receive a Constructing Excellence Award for Innovation for their ‘Homes for the Future’ developed in partnership with Welsh School of Architecture and funded by Welsh Government’s Innovative Housing programme. The homes were also built by MHA staff. MHA offer a wide variety of career opportunities ranging from housing and trade roles, to accountancy, surveying, marketing and communications roles.
