Coruscate Lighting Consulting, LLC is a small, nimble architectural lighting design firm capable of a broad range of commercial project types. Coruscate is a sole proprietorship formed by Megan Strawn in 2009. Over the course of her career Megan has had the good fortune to be able to contribute design concepts to the Boeing 777 moodlighting scenario and circadian rhythm studies, light a flying trapeze tent for the circus, and build an award winning portfolio of international projects. Megan brings a wealth of experience garnered from her career beginnings with a major electrical engineering firm, followed by her role as a studio leader at a large architecture firm. The time she spent embedded in an architectural firm was invaluable as it allowed her to gain an in-depth understanding of how architectural design teams work on a broad range of project types. Being able to participate in design charrettes that were not specifically about lighting allowed her to expand her horizons beyond the parameters of a project’s lighting scope. The culmination of over two decades of work designing the built environment resulted in Megan forming Coruscate Lighting, a unique lighting design firm that has unparalleled experience in both the technical and aesthetic elements of successful design.
