The S2i is one of the research groups in vision systems (or Machine Vision) of Brazil. The S2i is a multidisciplinary group in engineering (control and automation, electrical, mechanical), IT and administration. The S2i consists of undergraduate and postgraduate students and also by teachers / researchers from the Department of Automation and Systems (DAS). The S2i has strong partnerships with companias Brazilian leaders in their markets and with research institutes in Germany. With all this, the S2i is able to develop research and development of new technologies and competitive both in the computer industry, and industrial vision systems.
