Launched as a two race event in 1988, the Audencia-La Baule Triathlon gained momentum over the years, and is today France’s largest triathlon and one of the highlights of season for both French and International triathletes. Supported by Audencia Business School, the event is also the only one of its kind to be organized by a group of 24 students, oversaw by a seasoned professional of sporting events : Hervé Delaunay. Every year, the different races are made possible by the dedication of 500 volunteers from the school, backed up by 150 outside professionals, all working together to guarantee the safety of the race. The result is a unique and friendly atmosphere, where SPORT, EFFORT and PLEASURE are combined throughout the weekend. In 2020, the Audencia-La Baule Triathlon will celebrate its 33th anniversary. As a proof of its success, the event will welcome 7,000 athletes, will open a third Tri-Relay and will welcomed the Final Championship of the "Grand Prix". As every year, 70,000 spectators will be gathered alongside the track every year to encourage triathletes from all levels, professional, beginners and even athletes with disabilities.
