www.smartclide.euThe SmartCLIDE project will enable organizations on the path to digitalization to accelerate the creation and adoption of Cloud and Big Data solutions. The innovative smart cloud-native development environment will support creators of cloud services in the discovery, creation, composition, testing, and deployment of full-stack, data-centered services and applications in the cloud. The cloud nature of the environment will enable collaboration among different stakeholders. Self-discovery of IaaS and SaaS services, coding by example and high levels of abstraction will enable non-technical staff to compose and deploy new services, without requiring previous programming or systems administration experience. Hiding the complexity of the infrastructure, and adding intelligence for self-discovery of laaS and Saas Services to the administration and infrastructure layer, will enable the automatic selection of the most appropriate infrastructure services. SmartCLIDE’s high levels of abstraction will cover the complete development lifecycle including development, testing, deployment and runtime. For example, In the development phase, it will provide abstractions on data transformations or processing and in the testing phase, there will be mechanisms to visualize data flow and system status, as well as artifacts to automatically test expected behaviors. SmartCLIDE use cases will have a special focus on accelerating the adoption of Cloud and Big Data solutions by SMEs and Public Administration departments. Example solutions by software development SME’s in the consortium will include three IoT and Big Data products and a fourth solution for a public social security system.
