Team AUV-IITK is the student research team of IIT Kanpur working in the field of marine robotics. The team started in 2014 as the brainchild of a group of enthusiastic engineers. It has grown into a family of over 40 members through the consistent dedication and hard work of its members, working hard to create an impact in the field of underwater robotics. The team successfully designed and manufactured two robust autonomous underwater vehicles (AUV), Varun and Anahita and is working on its third generation vehicle Tarang. These vehicles are entirely autonomous capable of navigating and performing space-constrained tasks underwater. The team participates in international marine robotics competitions like Robosub and SAUVC and national competitions like NIOT SAVe.
