Tessitura Ubertino
www.tessituraubertino.comTessitura Ubertino is a boutique mill in Northern Italy dedicated for more than 30 years to the creation of high-end creative tweeds for womenswear. The production of Tessitura Ubertino fabrics is limited, personalisable and of the highest quality. The story goes back a long way. In the late Fifties, Mr Adalgiso Ubertino started working as an independent fabric designer for the most important mills in Italy, and in 1981 he decided to establish his mill in the heart of the Biella region, which has been famous for the production of textiles since Roman times. In 1985 his two sons, Alberto and Paolo, joined the company and took their creations to the catwalks of the most famous fashion houses in Paris, and all over the world. Combining noble fibres with rare materials, such as pearls, feathers, and organic sequins, the artisans of Tessitura Ubertino weave their collections using traditional Italian looms, jacquard looms, knitted looms, and handlooms designed and constructed in-house. The Ubertino family is committed now, as it was at the beginning, to continuing the creation of fabrics by marrying traditional techniques with state-of-the-art technology, and seeking textile beauty with a sustainable approach.
