Stay in a Pub is a website but also a movement born out of a passion for the great British pub and authentic local stays. We promote more than 1700 boutique pubs with bedrooms, traditional inns, and affordable pub accommodation throughout the UK. The online community was founded in 2013 by Paul Nunny; former managing director of Adnams, Director of the British Guild of Beer Writers and CEO of the national beer accreditation Cask Marque. His philosophy is that staying in a pub is a great alternative to faceless hotel chains and impersonal booking experiences through commission-hungry online travel agents. He is passionate about supporting independent pub owners and landlords by championing the authenticity of the British pub and the benefits of choosing to a different way to stay. Stay in a Pub has recently received significant investment and there are exciting plans underway to develop the brand and launch a new website. There is also some heavyweight expertise on board with the founder of Rightmove, Harry Hill as Non-Executive Chairman, and Charles Cryer, former CEO for Capita PLC as CEO. In the past six years, Stay in a Pub has continuously added to its collection of pubs with rooms, tripled its consumer base and seen a six-fold increase in first time website visitors. Our ambition is to give pub owners the power to thrive by building valued connections and exciting partnerships through Stay in a Pub.
