The Sleep and Fatigue Institute under its present name and locations is new in bringing back our services to Alberta. However, our services and know how are based on our Medical Director, Dr Adam Moscovitch, offering comprehensive Sleep Medicine services in Alberta dating back to the early 90s. In 1995 our team was a trailblazer in Western Canada in taking sleep laboratory services out of major University hospitals, and making them available in a community environment. We were also one of the first to introduce home based sleep apnea screening studies as a clinical service. Now, in our ongoing effort of bringing services to the convenience of our patients, in the most accessible and cost effective manner, we are taking it one significant step further. Except for select cases still requiring laboratory based studies, we are offering full scale, laboratory equivalent Polysomnogram/sleep study (not apnea only home studies available elsewhere) in the convenience of the patient/clients bedroom, or any other ambulatory environment.
