Household energy consumption accounts for a large proportion of CO2 emissions per capita, as the electricity mix still accounts for a large proportion of fossil energy sources. welectric aims to make households' electricity consumption carbon-neutral through a CO2 compensation payment on the non-green shares in the electricity mix, which is included in welectric's electricity tariff. We use this money 100% in global climate protection projects. For the transfer of funds to the recipient, we rely on blockchain technology and digital wallets in the long term to enable personal, transparent end-to-end communication and disbursement without additional middlemen.
