After spending many years in children’s theater, Neicole and her daughter, Megan decided it was time they started their own. Focused on the mission of creating extraordinary theater experiences and to advance theater as a means of educating, challenging and inspiring young people to their full potential, Genesis Children’s Theatre opened its doors in 2010. Today, Genesis Children’s Theatre is a 501(c)(3) non-profit children’s theatre serving children of North Texas ages 3-18 years. Genesis is committed to providing each student with skills to be successful on stage and in life. We believe the theatre experience is more than performing; it is a vehicle for learning responsibility, cooperation, and self-confidence. This philosophy coupled with exciting programming and a staff with unequaled experience has allowed Genesis to grow to its current reach of over 400 families and earned Genesis the title of “Best Children’s Theatre in Plano.” We are an educational based organization that reaches beyond the public school drama programs and offers opportunities to students of various educational settings (public, private, and home-schooled). Our theatre is located in Plano, TX, however we have students who come from Dallas County, Denton County, Collin County, and Grayson County. We cater to many specialized demographics, including but not limited to single parent households, low-income households, and autistic or learning challenged students.
