Our company was founded in 1950 by Ted Sylvan, a returning World War II veteran. He was very innovative in his approach to, what was then, a relatively new industry. He felt that operating too many facilities would only take away from the personal service that he considered paramount in running a successful service business. By being a smaller company, our executives are able to personally train every one of our employees, to ensure that they live up to our high standards of courtesy, efficiency and honesty.
