Women You Should Know
www.womenyoushouldknow.netWomen You Should Know® (WYSK®) is a leading digital hub of women's and girls' empowerment, which is centered on our editorial site and fueled by a dynamic social community. Launched in September 2011 by serial entrepreneurs Jen Jones and Cynthia Hornig, the site’s mission is to be a source of information and inspiration for women. This is accomplished, in part, by telling and championing the untold stories of relatable, everyday women (and girls) across the country and globe who are making things happen in their world; those who have outperformed, innovated, discovered, defied and soared. By telling their stories and amplifying their voices, the goal is to encourage other women and girls to realize their own potential and go after what they want. We also cover pioneering women from history, those better known and those who have been completely erased. In addition to profiles of remarkable women, other overarching content categories include women’s issues, career, STEM, girl empowerment, entertainment, sports/athletics, political and offbeat news, consumer goods, health & wellness, and, of course,... Wonder Woman. Our original content is regularly covered by major mainstream media outlets and we also have our work syndicated by other news outlets. We were recognized last year by Gloria Steinem's Ms. Foundation For Women for the role we play in the larger conversation about intersectional feminism. Our mission of women supporting and celebrating one another, also extends to three-dimension events that have been sponsored by major brand partners. In March 2017, we launched our highly anticipated sister brand, Women You Should Fund, a crowdfunding platform built to help women and women-led teams make their products, projects, and ventures a reality. Our debut campaign #BringHarrietHome, which we ran in partnership with the Harriet Tubman Home, made national news headlines and exceeded its goal in less than 3 weeks.
