Wu's Tai Chi Chuan Academy Detroit is the only site in the Metro Detroit area exclusively designed for teaching and training traditional Tai Chi Chuan. As a branch of the oldest continuously operating Tai Chi school in the world, with our instructors having decades of experience being trained and supervised by one of the original Tai Chi Chuan families, we deliver an immersive learning experience that can't be duplicated in a community center or other multi-use environment. Our teaching faculty has been trained by the Wu (Wú 吳) family and their senior students internationally since 1987. We benefit from the technical direction of grandmaster Eddie Wu Kwong-yu 吳光宇老師. Learning to teach Tai chi is part of our curriculum and our volunteer instructors gain valuable experience helping out for when they open their own schools one day.
