The PACT Urban Peace Program ~The PACT Urban Peace Program is a grassroots multi-award winning registered Canadian charity dedicated to supporting, training and empowering at-risk and marginalized young people as well as youth already in conflict with the law. PACT has a 20 year track record of building peace and hope in our urban and rural communities by partnering with the Youth Justice System, schools and other youth focused community agencies to help thousands of young people reach their full potential in life. PACT focuses on filling the gaps and leveling the playing field by promoting and delivering our programming, which includes the innovative and proven LifePlan Coaching program for the highest risk youth, Grow to Learn urban farms supporting under resourced schools and communities, as well as whole range of life and job skills projects and workshops, to youth in low-income and disadvantaged communities where we can have the most positive impact and return on investment. PACT has a grassroots beginning and a social entrepreneurial approach. To that end, PACT believes it is the community’s responsibility to provide the best programs and strategies at the earliest stages to create and maintain peaceful and safe environments. PACT is almost entirely privately funded through socially conscious and caring corporations, foundations, service clubs and individuals.
