TTM Inc. is developing Targeted Temperature Management System (TTMS) based on hyper cold air mechanical ventilation. This new revolutionary device will maintain and reverse hypothermia while eliminating the problems of all existing types of hypothermia induction devices (such as being ineffective, or not transportable, or impossible to use without having specially trained physicians) and will replace equipment currently in use. Unlike other devices, this system will have many advantages: • Non-invasive • Allow unobstructed access to the patient’s body for performing CPR or other procedures • Compact and portable • Usable in pre-hospital settings • Faster cooling while maintaining normal acid-base balance • Reduced time for achieving target body temperature • Easy to operate by a minimally trained staff • Precise temperature management system. TTM Inc. system is expected to replace all existing systems and bring uniformity to TTMS equipment market. TTM Inc. is a new startup developed Dr. Sergei Shushunov MD, a Critical Care pediatrician. In 2018 he receive a patent. The prototype cooling device was built by the Department of Engineering at the University of Kansas Medical Center. The company is now planning to conduct a proof of concept laboratory study and is open for partnerships.
