The European Foundation for Education (EFE) is a non-profit education institution established in 2013 by Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Schuster during his presidency of the Council of European Municipalities and Regions (CEMR). EFE aims at developing educational frameworks that help young people acquire the knowledge and skill set that would contribute to positive social and economic development. Together with partners from education, business, politics and administration, EFE stands for a systematic connection of educational offers with labour market needs in order to improve the professional chances for young people in Europe. Our goal is to create strong links between education and employment in order to improve the employability of young people, increase the competitiveness of companies and strengthen the regional economic development.
