LVTRise represents a partnership of private companies, human service organizations and government agencies dedicated to helping residents of the Las Vegas Trail area improve their neighborhood and their lives. The partnership focuses resources for both sustained change and immediate positive impact to life in “The Trail”.Opportunity does not come knocking very often in a community where a steady job is rare thing to find. In the Las Vegas Trail area, finding even the bare necessities can be a difficult battle for some. With a high density of multi-family residences, the 1.7 square miles in West Fort Worth is overpopulated for the size. More than 14,000 residents call this area home with over 32 apartment complexes in the area. With more than 43 languages spoken in the footprint of Las Vegas Trail, community members who live in this area are roughly one-third black, one-third white, and one-third Hispanic. LVTRise organizes partners to provide necessary community safety, education, health and wellness, and family stability needs. To address the many needs of the neighborhood holistically, the community center will offer after-school programming, social & employment services, parenting classes, child-care assistance, food pantries, GED classes, ESL classes, and more. A mixture of volunteers, local government, and private funding enables LVTRise staff to serve the Las Vegas Trail community, which will result in a revitalization of the immediate area.
