ISTRY is a uniquely collaborative new digital media platform for the cultural heritage sector. Funded by Innovate UK's "Covid-19 Fast Response Competition". Supporting organisations of all shapes and sizes across the UK, Europe and beyond in joining forces to combat the impact of the coronavirus pandemic. We enable the cultural heritage sector to come together on a single digital hub, amplifying their digital power and reach, discovering, engaging, delighting and inspiring audiences. ISTRY promotes and facilitates access to a diverse range of digital content (video, audio, documents, images, interactive) from currently disparate sources. Cultural heritage organisations from around the world can be discovered and explored through one integrated, intelligent, easily accessible platform; via the website, mobile apps or on their Smart TV. ISTRY uncovers and highlights connections between people, places and objects, across cultures, countries and continents, prompting exploration and discovery. ISTRY's mission is not just to support the global cultural heritage sector in surviving the coronavirus crisis, but to thrive beyond it. The ISTRY platform will go live at the end of March 2021.
