Fearon Hay Architects is a design-led studio undertaking a broad range of projects in diverse environments. With studios in Auckland and Los Angeles, the firm is engaged in projects on sites around the world. Tim Hay and Jeff Fearon founded the practice in 1998 as a way to enable their combined involvement in the design and delivery of each project alongside. In 2018 Olivia Williams came on board to head Fearon Hay Los Angeles. Together, they lead an international team of experienced professionals. The studio approaches every project with a commitment to design excellence, a thoughtful consideration of site and place, and a sensitive creativity. Fearon Hay Architects enjoys responding to a range of briefs: Commercial projects for office and workplace, complex heritage environments, public work within the urban realm or wider landscape, private dwellings, and detailed bespoke work for hospitality and interior environments. Projects are executed in a variety of places: Projects have been or are currently being delivered in locations such as Los Angeles, New Zealand, New York, Santa Fe, San Francisco, Sydney, Melbourne, Sri Lanka & Patagonia. Through our years of practice we have been awarded internationally: The NZ Architecture Medal, John Scott Supreme Award for Public Architecture, World Architecture Awards and recognition with the American Architecture Prize and Architectural Record’s Record Houses global programme.
