Allen School of Computer Science at University of Washington, develops, translates and deploys open source universally accessible technologies, with a focus on benefiting populations with disabilities. TCAT's academic mission is to engage undergraduate design and engineering students in participatory design and inclusive design practices. TCAT currently has two foci: Access to Transportation and Mobility and Contextually Aware Responsive Environments. We are actively working on a novel technology translation framework called Team Translation, to overcome technology translation and deployment hurdles for technology products serving social good.
