Founded in 1995, District is the award-winning, editorially independent news organization for the Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah. District provides volunteer opportunities for students in journalism, photography, videography, graphic design and editorial illustration. District seeks to bring a fresh perspective to college news through daily coverage, advice and profile pieces. Over the past 25 years, District has garnered over 500 awards from various organizations including the Columbia Scholastic Press Association, Society of Professional Journalists, Associated Collegiate Press and more.
