Research for Social Advancement, REFSA is a progressive, not-for-profit think tank providing relevant and reliable analysis on social, economic and political issues affecting Malaysians with the aim of promoting open and constructive discussions that result in effective policies and good governance to address those issues. Focusing on three key research pillars - Economy of Tomorrow, Social City and Institutional Reforms, we aim to contribute to the nation's public policy debate. Apart from our policy work, REFSA also manages the Library for Social Democracy, a resource hub with over 10,000 publications on the social sciences. With resources in Malay, English and Mandarin, the library acts a hub which engages academics, politicians and citizens in critical dialogue on society, politics and economics.
