Vanpla
www.vanpla.caVanpla is a non-profit mecha model community dedicated to promoting mecha modeling locally in the Greater Vancouver area (Vancouver, B.C.). Vanpla offers a Newtype membership program in which members contribute a fee to enjoy discounts at local hobby stores around the Greater Vancouver area and specified online stores. Our Vanpla membership cards are used to promote and fund our contests and prizes, monthly social meetings and workshops at local hobby stores, Gunpla panels and show exhibitions at anime conventions and other locations, and much more! We also support and promote our Vanpla Sponsors by posting news of new product arrivals, re-stocks, and sales promotions that will benefit the Vanpla Membership, in return for their offered discounts and donations for Vanpla held events. Our workshop meetups and events are free to join. To find out when and where the meetings are held, check our Announcements tab. For members who don't have the proper airbrush equipment, Vanpla has a place called the Dojo (道場), where mentors teach basic building/painting techniques. Join Vanpla today! We want to hear from you, see your work and work in progress, and have great people contribute to the local mecha building community to grow even stronger!
