The Centre for Inclusive Education is a non-governmental organisation whose main aim is to promote inclusive school environment as a quality standard in education. We support schools in their development towards communities of shared values and vision so that children are encouraged to develop their capacities and overcome difficulties, so that teachers feel supported and confident that they are efficient and can face the challenges, and so that parents assume their responsibilities in partnership with schools. MISSION It is our belief that every child must be included and valued. The Centre for Inclusive Education works to promote social inclusion and quality education for all children. WHAT WE DO The Centre for Inclusive Education protects the rights of all children to learn together by working with the school as a system to build inclusive school environment, by conducting studies and analyses, by taking part in public discussions on policies for children well being, by training professionals in the sector of education, by involving them in a professional community, and by launching events aimed at changing the attitudes of the wider public. GOALS To support professionals in the field of education working with school children with various educational capacities and needs in a way that will make them confident to teach and support children effectively and to create inclusive school environment for all. To raise awareness among educational and social institutions, and strengthen their capacity, to introduce and meet child safeguarding and child participation standards. To raise awareness and sensitize national and local decision makers about the philosophy and problems of inclusive education and child protection. To stir interest and gain support within the wider community, donor organisations and businesses about causes dealing with quality education, child safeguarding and child participation.
