Pi Lambda Chi Latina Sorority, Inc. (PLC) is an organization that was founded on the campus of the University of Colorado at Boulder in 1994 by fourteen empowering women. Through education, community service, empowerment, sisterhood and preservation of Latina culture, members of Pi Lambda Chi come together to create a long-lasting support system. Pi Lambda Chi is comprised of more than 800 members in 10 undergraduate and 1 graduate chapter across the United States including, Colorado, Rhode Island, Texas, Arizona, Pennsylvania, and New Mexico. The mission of Pi Lambda Chi is to create a strong sisterhood and an educational support network for women on college campuses. Pi Lambda Chi seeks to preserve Latina/o culture and history, as well as promote education and community service in the Latina/o communities surrounding their campuses.
