The D.V. Skobeltsyn Institute of Nuclear Physics (SINP) Of Moscow State University was founded in 1946. The outstanding physicists academicians D.V. Skobeltsyn and S.N. Vernov laid the foundation for scientific schools and trends which were being developed at the SINP. The foundator, D.V. Skobeltsyn became the first director of the Institute and the chief of DNP.
