Meshicon is a team of experienced VR/AR developers and UI designers based in Berlin Meshicon has worked for the Korsch AG and other clients on solutions for the new requirements of industry 4.0 user-machine interfaces by developing and implementing software for the Microsoft HoloLens Mixed Reality device. Their HoloLens application for the Korsch AG was successfully de- monstrated at the Interpack Fair in Düsseldorf in May of 2017. The company`s aim is to propose to industrial partners hand free solutions to control machines and processes at distance with holographic interface systems. The holographic system is used as an interface but also allows to visualize machine data and to communicate with colleagues via the internet. Meshicon develops software that enhances automation, integrates hand/voice recognition, simplifies machine calibration and allows secured human-machine interactions. The company was founded by Carl White and Philip Hausmeier to tackle the challenges of digitalizati- on with the new augmented reality technologies. Carl White received his degree for electrical engi- neering from the University of Manchester. Philip Hausmeier received his degree in communication design from the HSD Düsseldorf as well as an MFA from the University College London. Both have worked in the industry for several years running startups in Silicon Valley and China. Since 2013 also have been active as founders and organizers of some of the largest international VR/MR networks such as the VR Reality Berlin Meetup and the VR Developers Berlin Meetup. They also have given VR/ MR workshops at the BTK University in Berlin. Together with their award winning team of Unity-certi- fied developers (1st prize Microsoft ImagineCup 2016) they offer the skillset and experience to create innovative and practical AR solutions for the industry 4.0.
