www.dissidentjournal.co.ukDissident Journal is a publishing and advertising company, which runs an interactive website and free fortnightly magazine showcasing student art projects. The magazine connects London universities that have a majority of art students. The content of the magazine is unique and not presented by any other art publication on the market. 90% of its contributions come directly from art students and recent graduates in London. With its main focus on visual arts, the magazine and its web version invite art students to submit their past, current and developing college projects. 10% is student related news and interviews. Dissident Journal aims to create a situation in which readership and contributors become one. This publication is seen as a communication tool, discussion board, and eventually, a playground for the most advanced ideas. It will strive to radicalise the arts and become a battlefield of new ideas and developments within the arts. Frequently published and widely circulated, this large number of copies do not go unnoticed by academic staff. We encourage tutors and lecturers to participate as guest columnists and commentators. The successful outcome of our promotional strategy is for the Dissident Journal to become a desk book for tutorials and seminars in art colleges.
