Gallery 7 Theatre is Abbotsford's only full-time, community/semi-professional theatre, and produces a complete schedule of plays, workshops, guest performances and summer drama camps for kids. Founded in 1991, Gallery 7 Theatre is in its 20th year of operation, and is a registered non-profit society in the Province of British Columbia and a registered charitable organization. We are a FAITH-BASED theatre dedicated to presenting EXCELLENT theatre that IMPACTS the community and encourages GROWTH and CREATIVITY. Our dream is to develop an arts centre that is a focal point in the community for the creation of professional-quality theatre productions, cultural events and training opportunities. We are dedicated to fusing the expertise of the professional artist with the passion and raw talent of the recreational artist to create theatre and other artistic events that touch the heart, stimulate the mind, and elevates the spirit. We are also dedicated to engaging the community in discussion and further thought about personal, relational, social, political and religious issues. To this end, the theatre hosts a Theatre Side-Chat Series, Talk-Back Thursdays and a published discussion guide for each production in the season. In all of this, we wish to provide a life-affirming environment in which artistic talents can be developed, expressed and exhibited, to the honor of God. Performances, workshops, auditions and guest performances are held at the MEI Theatre in Abbotsford, B.C.
