The Department of Russian and Eastern-European Studies in one of the bodies of the Institute of International Studies of the Faculty of Social Sciences at Charles University (Prague). Main focus of the department is education and research activity within the post-soviet area, Balkans and Eurasia. Graduates of the deparment have a deep knowledge of the mentioned territories and are able to critically analyse the development in the area up to the most current affairs. The graduates are valuable employees in both state and supranational administration (foreign offices, embassies, diplomacy), the NGO sector or international trade companies with the post-soviet market reach.
