The Developing the Young Workforce West Region are a government funded programme, hosted by West College Scotland, and have the overall aim of reducing youth unemployment through expanding the knowledge awareness and opportunities available to young people across Scotland. Our work as Developing the Young Workforce West (DYW West) covers Inverclyde, Renfrewshire, East Renfrewshire and West Dunbartonshire. We help bring the curriculum at school / college to life by involving industry We also support & focus on #apprenticeships #stem #asn #care experienced #bame #simd We help young people get ready for work before they leave education by understanding the skills, qualifications and qualities employers look for. We also share across our channels regular opportunities for young people such as apprenticeships.
