The Public Space Network (PSN) is an open membership association bringing together a collective of civil society, public and private stakeholders with a vested interest in creating a cleaner, greener, safer and a more inclusive cities through the transformation of its public spaces. PSN was born out of the resolutions made during the May 2017 Nairobi Urban Thinkers Campus (UTC), a forum for the promotion of sustainable urbanization hosted by UN Habitat. PSN seeks to facilitate long-term partnerships that create sustainable public spaces as well as job opportunities. We believe the ability to access quality public spaces is integral to creating a safer, healthier and more vibrant community for our residents, leading to an improved quality of life for all. Through PSN’s members and resources, we aim to create an enabling environment that will equip communities to come together to regenerate and maintain their public spaces. By empowering communities to transform their neighborhood we promote greater social cohesion, produce economic benefits, and improve the health and safety of residents and visitors alike. Currently we have 14 member organizations and six individual members. We are registered as an association under the Societies Act of Kenya, with legal name “Society of Promotion of Clean, Green and Safe Cities”. Public Space Network (PSN) is our brand name.
