The U.S. Probation Department for the Southern District of New York, is responsible for preparing pre-sentence investigations on individuals convicted of federal crimes, supervising individuals sentenced to probation, or those released under supervised release supervision from the courts or parole from the U.S. Parole Commission and military authorities.
