IEUMUN is a simulation of the real diplomatic process within the United Nations and its committees. The conference allows students to develop exceptional communication, negotiation and public speaking skills while gaining a thorough understanding of the global geopolitical environment. We aim to promote awareness and cooperation between university students around the world to address high-level international issues. IEUMUN is a proactive Model United Nations conference organised by students and for students. Not only we develop leaders of the future, but we also pay our share of contribution by helping to achieve tangible changes! Our IEUMUN 2020 Virtual conference will transfer all of the collected funds to Red Cross in Yemen and relief aid to Beirut! The first edition of IEUMUN with three committees and two days of committee sessions, this year’s conference is guaranteed to be full of diplomacy, hard work, and building strong relationships with fellow delegates. This year’s theme, Diplomacy for Change, embodies the important work we do through Model United Nations. We are fostering the next generation of global leaders to impact society, and planting the seeds for diplomacy that has the power to change the world #diplomacyforchange Committee 1: The Crisis in Yemen. The UNSC will be collaborating this year to discuss the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Yemen and possible solutions to this ever-developing situation. Committee 2: Protective Measures for Refugees in a Post-Pandemic World. The UNHCR must pass a resolution in order to respond to the new challenges posed to the refugees of the world by the COVID-19 pandemic. Committee 3: Low Carbon and Climate Resilient Development in Developing Countries. With climate change becoming a more pressing issue by the day, the UNEP has to work together quickly to take action to ensure environmental protection is at the forefront of ongoing development around the world.
